Abalone = abundance
Bean srouts = prosperty
Oysters = good business
Candied Lotus seeds = good luck
Candied coconut = togetherness
Candied melon = good growth and health.

Light firecrackers to keep evil spirits away
Visit family and friends
Avoid using words associated with death, illness or poverty
Avoid use of sissors or knives so good furtune isn't accidently cut.
Avoid use of brooms that may sweep good luck out the door
Give little red packets containing coins or bills that add up to 9
